What if I get a rip or tear in my seat cover?

All of our seat covers are designed to provide maximum durability and protection against rips and punctures. If you experience a tear, it is best to sew the affected area from the inside of the cover. If your purchase is under the 1 year warranty, you may open a warranty claim here.

1-Year Warranty for All Seat Cover Materials

SeatCovers.com (and its parent company) with its principal place of business at 3909 Outland Rd, Memphis, TN 38118 warrant to the original purchaser that we will correct any defects in material or workmanship by either repair or replacement at our discretion of an open box cover of the same type based on the prorated schedule for the material, provided the customer prepays shipping to and from the shipper. This warranty lasts for the reasonable expected lifetime of the product starting on the purchase date. If the product is no longer sold, the difference price of the most comparable product may be requested.


Submitting a warranty claim:

A warranty claim can be submitted by filling out our warranty form here: click here to submit a warranty claim. All information requested is required (including order number). Occasionally, at the discretion of SeatCovers.com, mailing in the cover will be required. Approval or denial of the claim can take up to 30 business days from the date the seat cover and/or photos are received. A replacement cover does not reset or extend the warranty period. The warranty is not a money-back guarantee. No walk-in warranties are allowed as we must inspect the cover and this can take time.


Exclusions:

•   The warranty does not cover rips from abuse or misuse of the seat cover (e.g. accidental damage such as rips, tears, stains, normal wear, weather soiling, or stains from dirt or pollutants)

•   The warranty does not cover discoloration of the outside layer as it does not affect the performance of the seat cover.

•   DO NOT install the seat cover over a wet or soiled seat. The warranty does not cover mold or damage to the vehicle or seat cover due to improper use of the seat cover.

•   Any custom modifications made by the purchaser to the seat cover will void the warranty.

•   The warranty does not cover damage from abuse and misuse of the seat cover.

•   The warranty does not cover damage to the seat cover by acts of God, humans, or animals whether domestic, wild, or otherwise. The seat cover must be properly utilized and maintained from the time of purchase.

•   The warranty does not cover any issues relating to water seeping through the material as our seat covers are water resistant – NOT waterproof.

•   In the event your vehicle is sold, no longer in your possession, or the seat cover is not being used on the vehicle for which it was originally purchased for, the warranty is void and cannot be transferred or exchanged for a seat cover for your new vehicle.

•   This warranty does not protect against damages caused by the product, or the customer’s time and expense in getting the damage repaired. If the vehicle’s seat being protected by the seat cover is damaged, SeatCovers.com is not liable to repair the vehicle’s seat under this warranty.

•   The warranty does not include shrinking or expanding of the material.

•   Covers purchased used/open box do not include a warranty.

•   In the event of a 3rd warranty claim, pictures will no longer be accepted. You will be required to physically mail the seat cover(s) to our location for review under warranty.

•   The warranty claim process cannot be circumvented by purchasing a new seat cover during an active warranty claim and then requesting a refund. There will be no refunds given for a new seat cover purchase to satisfy a warranty claim.

•   The seat cover may be exchanged within 30 days after receipt of the purchase for defects and fitment issues. After this period, any issue will be under this warranty policy.

EXAMPLES OF NEGLIGENT OR ABUSIVE USE:


Cuts, punctures, abrasions, or scores; buckles or side clasps pulled off or damaged; Threads cut, stretched, or burst; Burns, scorches, melted areas; Damage from exposure to excessive heat; Improper handling, such as dragging over damaging materials or overstretching during installation; Damage from improper attachment to straps or using improper attachment devices; Exposure to chemicals such as solvents, petrochemicals, paints, acids, alkaline materials, or other substances which damage the materials; Use for any purpose other than as a seat cover.


Exclusion of Other Remedies:


IN NO EVENT WILL SEATCOVERS.COM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, MULTIPLE, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT(S) SUPPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR LOST PROFITS.


Exclusion of All Other Warranties, Express or Implied:


THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE PRODUCT AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Subject to applicable law, in no event shall our liability exceed the purchase price of the cover.


Governing Law:


The validity, construction and enforcement of, and the remedies under, this limited warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Jurisdiction and venue shall properly lie exclusively in the State of Tennessee, in and for Shelby County, Tennessee, with respect to any legal proceedings arising from this limited, prorated warranty or use of the item.
